The Story Behind
I set out to create the most expensive painting in the world and reinterpreted Leonardo da Vinci in my own way. Shortly before it was finished, a father was allowed to paint his family into the picture. I told him that it looked as if he and his family were on fire. Shortly afterwards, the painting actually caught on fire. Luckily, I was able to extinguish the fire before it was completely destroyed, and I had to patch the canvas with a piece of leather. This accident led to an even greater masterpiece, blending elements of Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Munch, Basquiat and other grand masters with my own creations.
For this years Christmas, I hereby present a limited hand-signed and partially over-painted edition. The piece "Mundi's Wife" was digitally deconstructed and transformed into 24 individual artworks in the format 40 × 30 cm.
